Reasons to use Woof ‘N’ Water Ltd
(We know some of this seems ‘over the top’ but we believe Hydrotherapy & Physiotherapy should only be carried out by individuals who have the correct level of training and understanding of injuries & conditions, for that we make no apologies)
- We are the ONLY hydrotherapy pool in the Birmingham/West Midlands area that is owned and run by a Qualified Animal Physiotherapist Lee Rudge PGC A.Phys
- Member of IAAT (International Association of Animal Therapists)
- Founder Member of the CHA (Canine Hydrotherapy Association)
- Our Physiotherapist deals with specific injuries and conditions and treats them accordingly, each dogs treatment is tailored to their needs & abilities
- We provide a Full Physiotherapy service for Dogs, Horses and Cats as well as just hydrotherapy
- Established in 2000 – over 8 years of experience
- Training centre for IAAT & CHA
- We carry out treatment for West Midlands Police Dogs, Guide Dogs for the Blind, The Blue Cross, Dogs Trust and Canine Partners for the Disabled
- Vets refer cases to us where dogs have been ‘overswum’ at other establishments, so we can provide the correct treatment
- Professional & Public liability insurance
- Most Pet insurance companies will cover Hydrotherapy & Physiotherapy carried out by Woof ‘N’ Water Ltd – not the case with some other pools
- Staff have undergone First Aid training in accordance with the CHA regulations – Refreshers taken every two years
- Water quality is monitored daily – pool kept at human standards
- Dogs will be referred back to their vet if condition worsens or if any abnormalities are noted during sessions – this is for your dogs benefit
- Dogs with open wounds will not be swum, same for dogs with stitches unless under specific veterinary request
- We will not subject a dog to hydrotherapy if it is suffering from upset stomach
- All dogs receive hydrotherapy in a controlled environment not left to their own devices – we do not tie up dogs and leave them to it
- We do not do one off swims for ‘a bit of a treat’, but will do maintenance swims if requested
- The dogs welfare always comes before the owners desires – we will not over exert any animal at any time
- We always ask for a referral from your vet - either written or verbal. This is because it is an offence for any person, other than the owner of the animal, to treat an animal unless the permission of the vet in charge of the case or to whom the animal would be referred is sought and obtained.
